The thoughts behind

In 2017, I discovered art — first as a form of therapy, but it soon became a way to express myself and find balance. I realized how difficult it is for new artists to gain visibility. Many galleries focused on established names or on what education you had.

For many years, I worked with people and sales, mainly in the hospitality industry as a hotel manager. In 2020, I also opened AC by Marriott Ulriksdal in Stockholm. On March 9, 2020, the pandemic changed everything. The hotel industry was hit hard, and suddenly I found myself without work.

I started Konstlobbyn to help artists sell their art — first as an online gallery with dropshipping, and after a few months, I opened a physical gallery in the heart of Täby Centrum.

Konstlobbyn soon became a well-known gallery. Both established and emerging artists from all over the world had weekly exhibitions and gained visibility on our popular website. I also hosted painting classes, “Paint & Sip” evenings, events with artists, and started a podcast.

For health reasons, I closed the store in 2023
